Summary
More than 485 million people now have an Ayushman health card that lets them go to a hospital without paying cash.
Each family can get up to 500,000 rupees of treatment each year, covering almost 2,000 different medical procedures.
The scheme also includes senior citizens over 70, community health workers, accident victims, transgender people, children, waste‑pickers and tribal groups.
It works together with health centers, a digital health mission and a big plan to build better hospitals.
