Summary
More than 100 projects have been approved, covering items such as printed circuit boards, camera modules, lithium‑ion cells and rare‑earth magnets, and are expected to create roughly 75,000 direct and 250,000 indirect jobs.
The initiative aims to build a resilient domestic supply chain and help India achieve a $500 billion electronics manufacturing ecosystem and $150 billion in exports by 2030.
Alongside component manufacturing, the plan supports the semiconductor ecosystem, linking design, testing and chip production to create a full technology value chain.
