Summary
The plan adds twelve new semiconductor manufacturing projects across six states, with three already in commercial production.
It strengthens the whole chip ecosystem, covering design tools, specialised machines, advanced packaging, research labs and skilled‑worker training.
More than 300 chip designs have been produced and over 68,000 students have been trained in chip design through the Chips to Startup initiative.
The goal is to reduce dependence on imports, support emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and 5G, and grow the domestic chip market to over 200 billion US dollars by 2035.
