Summary
Built by the national road authority, it includes flyovers, loops, ramps and two major bridges, one of which is a cable‑stayed bridge.
Designed for speeds of 80‑100 km/h, it will cut travel time between the highway and Kashi Railway Station from about 40 minutes to roughly 20 minutes.
The corridor aims to reduce traffic congestion, improve access to the airport, railway stations, temples and universities, and support regional logistics.
By enhancing road capacity, the project is expected to boost Varanasi’s role as a cultural, tourism and economic hub.
