He suggested teachers discuss screen habits with parents and encourage outdoor and creative pursuits.
A total of 82 teachers were selected from school education, higher education, and skill development sectors.
He stressed the importance of caring for children’s overall behaviour and teaching the dignity of labour.
He urged teachers to cooperate with parents to limit mobile and tablet time, especially late at night, and to promote sports, games and creative activities.
Eighty‑two teachers from schools, higher education institutions and skill‑training centres were honoured.
Modi emphasized that teachers should look beyond academic results, support children’s well‑being, and teach values such as respect for work.
