AyushTech Innovate: National Open Ayurveda Artificial Intelligence Challenge announced.
Organised by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in partnership with the health ministry and the All India Institute of Ayurveda.
Challenge focuses on transparent, safe, and user‑friendly AI tools for treatment planning, text retrieval, and health awareness.
Finals scheduled for December 15‑18, 2026 at the IIT Bombay campus.
Nine startups have each received seed funding of ₹300,000 to advance their projects.
A new Intellectual Property Rights Facility was launched to educate innovators on protecting their inventions.
The competition will leverage AyurParam, an open‑source large language model trained on classical Ayurvedic texts, to create trustworthy and practical applications for clinical practice, research, and public health.
The grand finale will be held at the IIT Bombay campus from 15 to 18 December 2026, with several startups already receiving seed support and an Intellectual Property Rights facility launched to protect innovations.
